Compass FM (Pty) Ltd, is a privately owned company that was founded in 1991 to service the growing demands for Vehicle Management and protection. The market experienced exponential growth due to the Insurance Industries endorsement of technology to protect and manage vehicles. Technology developed rapidly and Compass FM was intimately involved in working with technology partners to extend and broaden the range of functionality available to end-users.

2003 saw the launch of the Mix Telematics Web based Bureau services platform. This technology has been extended to over 75 countries around the world and saw Compass FM assist in the development and implementation of several peripheral products that are distributed in numerous countries around the world. The company also distributes the Control Instruments, Bandit, Skygistics and Matrix range of products.

Compass FM currently manages and protects in excess of 9 000 vehicles throughout Southern Africa. Our client list includes, Bidvest, BP, Clover, Debis, Genfood, Illovo Sugar, Imperial, SAPPI, Simba, Standard Bank, Tiger Foods, Tongaat -Hulett ,Total and Unitrans.

Compass FM is BEE compliant ( Level Four )and has a staff compliment in excess of 30 with a multi million annual turnover. We operate from our own secure, state of the art facilty covering 1400 m², which includes fitment, training, control centre, server hosting, and office and boardroom facilities.
